Well, with the successful launch of PokerFish Rakeback I feel the need to discuss this incredibly lucrative topic.

But the bottom line is, there is NO WAY you should be playing online poker (for real money) unless you’re playing under an account that is earning you rakeback. Below is the visual image I get whenever someone tells me that haven’t “signed up for rakeback…yet…”:



Let’s talk about the pros and cons of playing online poker while earning rakeback… shall we?

Pros:
1. Signing up is easy & FREE. That's right, earning rakeback is extra “free” money (passive income); you are getting paid to play (a return of the rake taken from the innumerable pots that accrue during the games). Essentially, you are receiving funds for something that you’d be doing anyway as a poker player… Rakeback is paid directly into your poker account on a regular basis.

2. You can be a “break even” poker player and, with rakeback, be turning a guaranteed profit! That’s right… you don’t even have to be a winning player to make money! LOL. However, I imagine you WANT to be good, and while you’re getting there, rakeback is a great way to prevent you from going busto.

3. Rakeback allows you, as your skills increase, to build your bankroll exponentially (you are now making money in multiple ways after all) and this will allow you to graduate to higher limit games (where your profits will increase again) and so on and so forth…

Hmmm… can’t think of one… unless of course you suffer from Chrematophobia.

So how much can one earn playing poker for rakeback? Well, this depends on a few things. How many tables you play at once, how many hours you average playing a day, what game/limits you typically play, and what percentage you’re receiving as rakeback (this depends on the particular site you like to play at)–You can enter these things into a Rakeback Calculator and see what you’re likely to earn specifically, but as an example:

Let’s say you play $1/$2 No Limit, 6 handed, for an average of 3 hours a day (your lunch break and before you go to bed). You’re getting 33% (since you’re playing on Cake in this example) & maybe you’re a novice so you only play 4 tables at once… well, that’s earning you a monthly rakeback payment of about… $1425! That’s an extra $17,000 a year! The kicker is, that’s if you’re only a break-even player! If you are a winning poker player, then you’re obviously making much more…

So, again, for those of you still playing without rakeback… let’s not be silly… Sign Up…

I now have a rakeback account with you guys on AP. I'll see how that goes, and then I'll probably make an account on Full Tilt or Cake.
